Lake Perris State Recreation Area (17801 Lake Perris Dr, Perris, CA 92571 | (951) 940-5600) is a 2,200-acre reservoir and recreation area about 20 miles southeast of Corona via I-15 S and CA-215 S. The park offers swimming, boating, fishing, rock climbing, and camping — and it's one of the most popular school field trip and church group destinations in Riverside County. Bus and RV parking is available in the main day-use lots; a day-use vehicle fee applies. The park also hosts seasonal events throughout the year.
A charter bus or minibus keeps your whole group together from the Corona pickup to the park entrance, with no car-to-car coordination required on the way home.
Galleano Winery
For a wine tour closer to home, Galleano Winery (4231 Wineville Ave, Mira Loma, CA 91752 | (951) 685-5376) is one of the oldest family-owned wineries in Southern California — established in 1927 and still operated by the Galleano family in the Jurupa Valley, approximately 15 miles northwest of Corona via CA-91 W and I-15 N. The winery offers tastings, vineyard tours, and a charming historic setting that feels a world away from Inland Empire traffic. Bus drop-off is at the main entrance on Wineville Avenue, with parking available for larger vehicles in the winery's lot. It's a great first or last stop on an Inland Empire wine tour itinerary, and the proximity to Corona makes it an easy half-day outing for groups of any size.
